Tom Williams was a volunteer in C Company, 2nd Battalion of the Belfast Brigade in the Irish Republican Army from the Bombay Street area of Belfast. He was hanged by the British, aged 19, in the Crumlin Road Gaol for his involvement in the shooting dead of an RUC officer during the IRA's Northern Campaign.
His body was finally given back to his family and reinterred in 1999.
