This book, written by Irish Revolutionary leader Thomas J Clarke recalls his time in English prisons following the Fenian Dynamiting campaign of the late 1880's.

Clarke would be one of the seven signatories of the Irish proclamation of Independence and one of the leaders to be executed by the British following the Easter Rising of 1916
