H Block Armagh 1981 – 2021. This commemorative statue has been produced to mark the 40th anniversary of the prison protests and the 1981 Hunger Strike. It pays tribute to the men and women, in the H Blocks and in Armagh women’s Gaol, who refused to allow themselves or the struggle they were involved in to be criminalised.

The inscription on the base reads ‘We wore no convicts nor meekly served our time. H block – Armagh 1981 – 2021’. It is metal coated. 15cm L x 6cm B x 26cm. Approx 1200gms.
