A personal and anecdotal account of the seven years Dominic Adams spent in Crumlin Road Gaol and the H-Blocks of Long Kesh. Faoi Ghlas describes his arrest, remand period and eventual sentencing whilst incorporating some of the characters and situations he encountered.

 

ABOUT DOMINIC ADAMS

Dominic Adams, a brother of Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams, was born in Belfast in 1965 and grew up in Ballymurphy. As a young man, Dominic spent 7 years faoi ghlas in Crumlin Road Gaol (Belfast) and in the H-Blocks of Long Kesh. He published his book describing this period of his life, Faoi Ghlas in 2010, and currently lives in Belfast.
