Fires burning out of control at the height of the 1916 Easter Rising. These fires were started following the shelling of Dublin by the British from the Helga gunboat on the river Liffey.

This is a copy of a commemorative postcard issued after the 1916 Easter Rising of Padraig Pearse and James Connolly. Both men were the main organisers and leaders of the 1916 rising and were executed shortly after their surrender.
